Meet Your Teacher
International House, London
For over thirty years, I have been committed to guiding English learners toward academic and personal success. My journey began in Bristol, where I studied Modern Languages and Information Systems before earning my CELTA at International House Piccadilly in London. Teaching was not just a career; it was a calling that led me on an extraordinary journey across Europe and into the forefront of online education.
Pinerolo - Munich
I started my teaching career in Pinerolo, a picturesque town nestled in northern Italy, at the foot of the Alps. There, I quickly recognized the duality of our profession—the need to see the world from the students' perspective while encouraging them to embrace new viewpoints too. After Italy, I moved to Munich, where I delivered corporate courses and prepared professionals for Cambridge English exams. These experiences served as a foundation for my life as an English teacher.
The Internet
A pivotal moment in my career occurred with EF’s Englishtown (today called EF English Live), one of the first online language schools and a leader in digital education today. As part of a dedicated team of just twelve teachers, we became digital pioneers, navigating uncharted territory in online language learning. In those early days of the Internet—full of hope and camaraderie—there were no videos or voice; only text on a screen. Teaching students across the globe felt like navigating a silent frontier. We adapted, innovated, and experimented until we found ways to engage learners through this digital silence. The teamwork was extraordinary, and some of my contributions in course design helped shape what online language learning would soon become. While working at Englishtown, I also taught at the University of Turin’s Faculty of Economics, managing classes ranging from 30 to 120 students. Each classroom posed unique challenges that required me continuously to adapt and innovate.
When I joined Myngle—an online school focusing on corporate clients—I transitioned from teaching to mentoring. My experience at Englishtown allowed me to help shape their approach to online language teaching. I focused on developing engaging strategies, critical in an environment where a single click could lose a learner. Working closely with the team, we built courses that kept students motivated and connected, ensuring every session delivered real value. A stellar online recommendation from one of Myngle's owners led to an exciting and unexpected opportunity with a high-profile Russian client.
Forte Dei Marmi - Deauville - Moscow
This watershed moment took me to Forte dei Marmi, where I worked with Russian families eager for their children to enter prestigious UK schools. This experience expanded my teaching practice as I developed courses that covered areas I had never considered before—such as teaching cursive handwriting or the alphabet to five-year-olds. After spending a year in Deauville in northern France at the residence of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, I moved to Moscow, where I currently work. I specialize in one-on-one instruction for children of Russian families. Each lesson is meticulously crafted around the student’s personality and interests.

Today, I continue to refine a dynamic teaching style by blending methods such as Total Physical Response (TPR), which uses physical movement to enhance language acquisition; Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS), which engages students through creative narrative; task-based learning, which focuses on the practical use of language; and immersive conversation practice, which encourages real-life dialogue. Through this website, while primarily focused on Cambridge exam preparation, I aim to offer not just lessons but a transformative journey that empowers learners to connect with diverse cultures through the power of language. After all, language transcends mere words; it serves as a bridge to new opportunities—and my mission is to help students confidently cross that bridge.
